One thing I would like to talk about is that even Fanfic writers don't have much depth and relationships between other characters for Sakura and or team 7 .
For example, we know rookie 9 to be classmates, then later fought wars together and many small missions may be, in all basically grew up together.
Which brings me to ShikaSaku friendship, Sakura has been the one of the toppers alongside Shikamaru, Sasuke and Hinata, and later when her friendship got reconciled with Ino, Sakura who was also pre-shippuden, would spend time with Ino, who would be with team 10. So naturally, Shikamaru and Sakura are the only ones with proper functioning brain cells. (sorry Ino I know you got mind transfer jutsu so I believe you're not that smart and you must also be tired often, you're just a teen.)
AND YOU BET MY FUCKING ASS, THAT THESE TWO ACTUALLY LIKE TO DUMB THEM OUT.
One more thing, Sakura is under Tsunade's apprenticeship, and Shikaku often likes to take Shikamaru with him for tiny things (he doesn't need to but he does).
Now Tsunade, (the more the merrier) assigns the two, some reports to sign. Within the reports there are some meeting notes (courtesy of Shizune because Tsunade is drunk and well she gives flying fucks tbh)— the said meeting notes are from discussions with the elders.
Now, we have two genius teenagers judging old ass geezers that have no idea of current gen people behavior. So naturally one of them, (it was both of them, Sakura's just a bit loud), goes— TF??!
Cue, Tsunade looking up with her glasses almost hanging off her nose—arches her eyebrow.
Sakura tries to deflect, Tsunade persists, Shikamaru and Sakura share a glance, and well since they know Tsunade hates the elders (they've herd it plenty times— "these old fucking geezers", from the 5th's mouth), they give their two cents, and well thank Kami because those two cents turned Tsunade into a fucking millionaire.
Major development and refurbishment and trading suggestions were given by Sakura, since her parents were merchants, so is teaching for female students, and academy rules were also often suggested by the two.
