started watching "the other bennet sister" yesterday and it's tickling my every period drama itch. i love mary sm she's my sweetie patootie. i love awkward leads. she looked like a damn GODDESS in that one scene in ep4, i was bloody GOBSMACKED. i want her hair.

also, indira varma in this is "bride and prejudice" validation and im LOVING IT

somewhat spoiler-free thoughts on hotd s3 premiere

gang i dont even know what to say. im not going to write out long reviews like i did for s2. maybe i'll share some thoughts, but thats it. im mostly done with this show, just watching for watching's sake.

okay so...just because it had shock value and made me tear up does not make this a good episode. the dialogue is still doo doo. wtf was up with rhaena. and someone please save olivia cooke from someone's fetishes

atleast ormund is continuing the hightower trend of serving cunt. also is daeron a ginger??? tessarion was cute tho, even if her rider was basically elf on the shelf :)

also...i love jace! but how did they fuck up the gullet so bad that i was barely phased when it happened???

the fifth episode of the percy jackson disney+ show is genuinely one of the best pieces of television i've ever seen??? like, ares starting twitter fights?? grover fucking with ares like the icon that he is?? AND THE LOVE TUNNEL OH MY GOD.

i was talking to my dad while watching the show and the "what is love" came up loud and clear and i burst out laughing. the song's a bop, literally danced the entire scene while percy and annabeth were stressing.

holy shit i finished castlevania: ncoturne s2 last night. i couldn't sleep before i finished in full. i rewatched s1 too, just in case. the show in general is better than i remember but HOLY SHIT s2 was insane. the season finale was just 🤌 and i got to see my babygirl alucard again. the design was something to get used to, but i think i prefer nocturne's design now. he just looks so majestic.

watching eurovision with family is the fkn worst because then you hear the most vile, disrespectful, racist and homophobic shit come out of the mouths of people you thought were tolerant and accepting. but then again, i remembered my father believes israel has a right to commit genocide against the palestinian people. their song wasn't even any good this year. anyway, congrats jj. don't let anyone bring you down because of who you are.

spoilers for ep1 of a knight of the seven kingdoms

GUYS I MISSED HAVING A SUNDAY HBO SHOW SO MUCHHHHHHHH

i was especially hyped for this show, since i've read the novellas. and i liked them so so much.

so far, the show is capturing the vibe. a bit too many ass shots for my liking, but this is hbo's and grrm's lovechild 😂

peter claffey just captures our infamous dunk the lunk so well. i love the irish accent. sometimes dunk is just a fella who yaps to his horses. the opening scene already had me in the feels, but the editing genuinely made it feel like a bittersweet moment.

our egg is so so so adorable i love him smmmm. like he's so good!!

lyonel baratheon is more than a bit older than he should be, but i'm not complaining, since he's hot and has the laughing storm vibe.

this episode felt so lively and natural. genuinely so stoked for the rest of the tourney.

as with my hotd s2 reviews, i'll try to write them and publish them on mondays. idk if it's interesting to whoever decides to read, but i just enjoy yapping and i have high hopes for the show.

edit: i also love how they're really playing with the idea that maybe ser arlan didn't knight dunk and it was a calculated lie on his part.

OH MY GOD GUYS A POLITICIAN IN LITHUANIA (where i'm from) HAS JUST BEEN MAJORLY pranked, and it's related to M*sk.

For context:

This is Remigijus Žemaitaitis.

He is the very controversial leader of a very controversial party that is part of the current Lithuanian ruling coalition in the Parliament. He has already been in trouble with the law due to his antisemitic remarks on Facebook, which led to him resigning from the Parliament before they could kick him out via impeachment for breaching the constitution. His political party is basically a soft version of the German AFD.

So, the story goes like this:

This mfer has been in corresponde with a Ryan Riedel, claiming to be from DOGE, but actually the Energy Department CIO. Their correspondence happened through personal emails ("Riedel" wrote to him through a yahoo account lmfao) for discretion. They had been in correspondence over the mfer coming to the US for a private meeting with various American politicians, Musk included, in NY. He was offered plane tickets, accomodation and was even offered to see a musical for entertainment. The total cost of the trip was to be around 30k euros. Mr. Žemaitaitis obtained the Lithuanian Parliament's permission to go to the US for personal reasons, accompanied by his wife. Prior to agreeing to the private meeting, Žemaitaitis was asked to renounce the Lithuanian President's critiques of the current USA administration and express his support for Tr*mp and V*nce, whilst keeping the arrangement confidential. SO WHAT THIS MOTHERFUCKER DID, was to go to his Facebook account and IMMEDIATELY start sharing Vance's posts and spouting support for Tr*mp.

And like that, the day for his departure arrived, but problems arose when he came to the departure terminal in Vilnius Airport. Turns out, his and his wife's tickets DID NOT EXIST!! and then this pathetic excuse of a politician fled the airport before the press could mock him to death.

He was basically giddy at the prospect of meeting M*sk. And now the whole country's laughing at him. The correspondence was leaked entirely. He could technically be accused of treason, since "Ryan Riedel" asked him if he could be a middleman between the US and the R*ssian Embassy in Lithuania, to which he declined, but the point stands. The man was about to go on a fictional holiday for "diplomacy", with the country's Parliament knowing none of it.
