Hello I just want you to know I think about Loser's Bracket all the time, and me and my friend frequently bond over talking about all the ways it's the best trans rep we've ever read.

The story is so raw and real in its depiction of humanity and transness and queerness and womanhood while also taking care when tackling mental health issues and dysphoria and capitalism.

Unironically, it is one of my favorite works of fiction and I just think more people need to read it

Oh my gosh, thank you for taking the time to send me this ask! It honestly makes my day whenever someone tells me how important one of my fics is to them ;_;

Honestly, despite concluding Loser's Bracket almost a year ago, it's still very hard for me to believe something I made resonated so hard with so many people, especially other trans women. In some ways, it's a little funny, bc I originally started the fic because I didn't really like how many nsfw eimiko fics that depicted Ei as a trans girl had her as a dom top. I figured why not just make the fic I'd like to read myself...

It kinda exploded from there, though, huh? That being said, it was always my intention to depict (and not fetishize) a struggling trans girl who:

1.) has a healthy sex life where she isn't forced to comptop

2.) isn't perfect

3.) gets a happy ending, even after facing several hurdles

When writing a story like that, esp one as big as Loser's Bracket, I feel like it's important to also acknowledge how issues like capitalism can affect trans people. It can so easily make us mentally ill, more dysphoric, and desperate.

But yeah! Once again, thank you so sooooo much for the ask (and coincidentally, giving me an excuse to yap about Loser's Bracket! I love 2 yap about my fics) Take care!!! :3
