Draco looked at her, humming softly at her statement. He tilted his head as he considered her words, wondering how to answer them. His younger self would have been appalled that she had, in fact, called him out so bluntly. Now? He knew better. He knew she was right. He knew she had hit the nail on the head sharper than anyone had before her.
"I'm glad you don't think I'm evil." he murmured softly, his eyes downcast as he spoke. "Lost? Not so much anymore."
A beat passed as he considered the next part of her statement. "I've been alone for a very long time; so I absolutely cannot disagree with you there." he murmured softly. "I can't say that you're wrong. Years ago, I definitely didn't know better. I'd like to think I do now, though." he finished, his fingers tapping rhythmically on his thigh, the only tell of his discomfort.
