This is how I initially started my search for a french bulldog. When I first decided that I wanted to look into getting one, I thought why not start in Hong Kong? I envisioned I would be able to do one of the following:
Find a french bulldog breeder to buy from here in HK
Look at classifieds for people who were selling or looking to give up their french bulldog (i.e. people who have to move and couldn't take their dog with them is a common theme that I've seen on forums)
Adopt a french bulldog from a HK dog rescue organization
I was never partial to any particular method, whether it was adopting or buying, I just wanted to make sure that I found a healthy dog that later wouldn't have medical issues due to their initial conditions. I've been warned in the States not to buy from pet stores and I imagined the same to be true for HK, especially after visiting some pet shops in Causeway Bay and Wanchai that didn't seem to be very clean.

Another free ad post starting with, "I've pretty and handsome french bulldog puppy for sale..."
Yet another free ad site with an ad for a french bulldog located in the Phillipines
A site claiming to find WellBredPets by breed locally in HK. Unfortunately when I click on the link, it says that:
And lastly, another few ads French Bulldogs labeled under "Stuff for Sale" on a free ad site. The ads have pictures but when the links are clicked the following shows up: (*more on ads like this to come in a future post*)
None of these seem to give me legitimate information on how to move forward. Most of them seem suspicious (located in the Philippines?) Anyways, no real help here so I furthered my search for breeders located in HK but was not able to find any. I searched for pet stores just to see where they were getting their frenchies from but was mostly told they didn't have any, full stop. So far- I hadn't gotten anywhere.
