Hello! I've seen a lot of memes related to George and his food, which are so funny and cute. But is it true that George loved eating so much? Or did he just casually ate his food and it is only a coincidence that he was often photographed while eating?

Well, he was a growing boy, wasn’t he?! 

Skinny lads in their twenties, like George was as a Beatle, always seem to have an amazing metabolism where they can eat like a horse but not put on an ounce of weight. And believe me, George was skinny. I saw his Sgt Pepper’s suit in the flesh last year, and the trousers couldn’t have been bigger than a size 30″ waist. I even looked to see if it was pinned at the back, but no. George must have had a 28″ or 29″ waist at most. 

There is this particularly amusing anecdote from Walter Shenson, the producer of the Beatles movies: 

“[Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon] wouldn’t leave. They kept talking, talking, talking, and in the meantime everyone was rather hungry. George Harrison came over to me and asked to be excused for a moment, and I walked away from the princess and he said, ‘when can we eat?’ And I said, ‘well, we can’t eat until Princess Margaret leaves.’ And I went back to continue my conversation with her, and George came over and says, “Ma’am, Walter says that we can’t eat until you leave, and we’re hungry.” And I thought I was going to die! I thought I was going to get deported! She said, ‘Oh, we’ve been here to long,’ and she called her husband, ‘I think it’s time that we go,’ and they left, and we ate.”

I think it’s a bit of a running joke, George and eating (Pattie says he didn’t eat a lot at all) but it’s true that he happens to have been photographed eating a lot.

Is there anyone who can look more adorable with their gob full than Georgie?!
