how do you get better at writing dialogue in fics? I want to write but I feel that speech and speech patterns always hold me back

honestly I just watched exclusively dteam content for like four or five months straight so I picked up on their speech patterns and word usage unintentionally 😭😭 I guess the best advice I have is just watch them and make sure you’re paying attention to how they speak and interact with each other like pretend they are rats you are studying under a microscope or something
