FIFTY. CHAPTERS. 100K WORDS. Lots of s3x mentions though- for the rating it has, it contains weed, c0ca!ne, p0rn, heavy amounts of mental, verbal, physical and (implied) s3xual abuse. Poor stone needs cuddles and Robotnik is the only one who offers to give him any. He also keeps buying stone donuts from the local Krispy Kreme that’s currently being worked at by several humanized transgender lesbian hedgehogs (and foxes, and echidnas) I didn’t think that would work at first, but seeing tails absolutely lose it when the smartest person walks in the room, infodumping about robots, and teasing sonic about her crush on myspace Shadow, I’d say it worked. Also there’s geriatric olive- I just finished this fic this morning so that’s why I’m talking so much about it sorry vv(^v^ )

opened tumblr for the first time in AGES (yay new laptop) and i need to speak to the people. I've seen that some more people are coming across the ship Geriatric Olive (Gerald Robotnik x Commander Walters) and the usual "what's the ship name" discussions are happening - here and on twitter.

now, i firmly believe that the most beautiful ships can have many many names, we don't need to force ourselves to just one.

But I realised that most people aren't insane discord freaks (tbf i'm also not usually, Stobotnik just bit me in the face unexpectedly) so this is me formally making sure that the tumblarinas (my native people) are familiar with this option for the ship name.

Geriatric olive is literally perfect. It creates so many parallels and deepens so many relationships. Walters watches Stone fall head over heels for a Robotnik and he can see is the exact same cycle again. He tries to warn him away from Robotnik but he just makes it worse, Stone grips tighter. "I am not you. He is not Gerald. We're going to be different" Stone insists but in the end it's the same. The cycle repeats Robotnik is too stunned to admit what's really happening between them and then he dies. And it's worse because Stone will never see him again and it's better because Walters had to live knowing that Gerald resents him so deeply. Gerald resents Stone so much more because he reminds him of Walters and he hates it. He hates being reminded of the dedication and, depending on how homophobic you think Gerald is, a reminder of *weakness*.

Okay I know people in thr fandom love making it where shadow lives with stone (and sometimes robotnik depending on what kind of fic it is) in post movie three fics and I was just introduced to thr ship gerwalt or geriatric olive whichever you wanna call it and now I'm thinking of thr parallels of like, shadow first being raised by walters and gerald and then later by stone and robotkin and maybe stone reminds him too much of walters so it takes him a while to trust him and now I need to write
