"Good Night, And Good Luck" Movie Still/Screen Capture I found another still from "Good Night, And Good Luck," one I'd forgotten I had on my hard drive. Like the one I shared earlier on Instagram, this is from the "Box of Light and Wires" speech scene. Going around the table clockwise are: me, a lovely blonde actress whose name I've forgotten (sadly), Grant Heslov and George Clooney. Besides playing Fred Friendly, George directed the film. It's rare to be seated in the scene with your director who, between takes, is a total goofball. However, in this case, my slight smile was a performance. For authenticity's sake, my character smoked in this scene. Practically everyone smoked during the 1950s, including Edward R. Murrow. (The nasty habit was the cause of or contributed to the deaths of many during this period.) A nonsmoker, I was provided with prop cigarettes that contained only some untreated tobacco in order to look right when they burned. I did not inhale. The only time my fag was lit was when cameras were rolling. #GoodNightAndGoodLuck #MovieStill #Movie #Film #MotionPicture #Cinema #ScreenCapture #GeorgeClooney #GrantHeslov #FredFriendly #EdwardRMurrow #EdMurrow #GeriMars #BroadcastJournalism #TVNews #News #Journalism #Reporting #Reporter #Broadcasting #Television #TVHistory #Acting #Performing #Performance #FilmProduction #SAGAFTRA #CBSNews (at Los Angeles, California)
