Gerken and #Hambachforest

You saw the news about RWE destroying a 12′000 year old forest for brown coal.

Gerken is a company that rents out work platforms. Their platforms are/were used at Hambach forest.

They saw it in the news, people flooded them about this.

Now they put on their webpage that they didn’t know their platforms were being used in Hambach forest and that the police is not their customer. (well, duh, it’s the company destroying the forest most likely).

Anyway, since they made a contract they can’t simply pull out their platforms without their customer demanding a bunch of money from them. They are still pulling their platforms out. It will cost them. It will cost them more than a few people vowing not to rent from them, since companies are their customers. They still do it. Small mercies.

In other news, I got to hang out with my newest friend! He's one of my co-workers at Starbucks and super awesome. We watched Bridesmaids and got skyline. I wanted to meet his fiancé but he had work in the morning so he went to bed early. But I still had lots of fun getting to know him better! We talked a lot. It was amazing.
