Behold the peak of "Geometric Domesticity." This living room has more sharp angles than a high school trigonometry textbook. We’ve got tapered furniture legs so thin they look like they’re on a permanent diet, and a carpet that appears to have the texture of a very large, flattened poodle. Note the domestic power dynamic: he’s catching up on the 1961 headlines while she’s performing the delicate "apron-clad tea lean," a pose required by law in mid-century home magazines. Between the dizzying curtain pattern and the salmon-pink accent wall, it’s a miracle anyone can focus on their tea without getting a migraine. It’s peak "Schöner Wohnen" which translates to "Beautiful Living," or more accurately, "Living in a very stylish, wooden-edged obstacle course."
