Affirmation: I am clear about what I want.
The reason we can’t get clear is because we have so many things cluttering our minds and lives. We have so much mental clutter, we can’t hear ourselves think. We have so much emotional baggage, we can't feel what’s good, what’s bad, what’s right or what’s wrong. We want so much, so fast, that we can’t get clear about what to do first. The first thing is to get clear about the one thing we want. We must describe it, identify it, see it in our possession. Don’t stop to worry about how; that will create more clutter. Just want it and see it the way you want it. Once you do that, eliminate everything that is not getting you to what you want. Eliminate it from thought, word, and deed. Eliminate people if necessary. Stop doing things that will not get you what you want. When you are comfortable with the energy you have put into your first want, move on to the next one. The trick is to want one thing at a time. Focus on it. Concentrate on it and then let it go.
Reflection: Clear your mind and picture the one thing you want most. Focus on that one vision until all other thoughts fade away.

Energy: where metaphysics & physiology meet.
Where did my energy go?
Good question! Welcome back to the continued the conversation on energy, i.e.
why do I have so little and how do I get mine back?
Let's talk about the word energy.
This word gets tossed around a lot these days, especially in the realms of “woo” (wow, she has such good energy).
While this is slightly comical, (Shit New Age Girls Say, anyone?), the truth is we are all made of energy, this entire universe is made of energy! What we perceive to be solid is actually just concentrated energy that we perceive as a tangible thing.
This month, as I focus on the topic of energy and target the prevailing lack of energy and clarity that many of us feel in our day-to-day lives, I want to address this linguistic overlap between the metaphysical and the physiological.
Looking back on my life thus far, I recognize that the level and quality of energy in my body— and here I'm talking about physical energy— has been due to a multitude of factors...
How much water I drank, what types of foods I ate, the environment I lived in, quality of sleep and how early or late I went to bed, if I was smoking tobacco or pot (I did that for a number of years) as well as other beverages I consumed, including alcohol and caffeine. I must not forget to also mention my emotional mindset at the time, which is a key player!
Now that I'm swept up in the study of nourishment, I know everything I put in my body makes a difference in how I feel.
Clearly, what we put in our bodies makes up our bodies.
Going back to Energy in its most basic, scientific definition, all of the substances you put in your mouth alter the very building blocks of this physical form of a body that you live in.
With this in mind, it's no wonder that our nation, who consumes toxins on a regular basis, is chronically ill.
There is a modality in nutrition called "food energetics” developed by a man named Steve Gagné.
I talk about this concept in my new book Eat Here Now, (out July 1!), and I introduce the concept of examining the foods we eat on a regular basis for their energetic qualities and begin to make choices based on how we want to feel.
The time of being a victim to our diets is over, my friends.
Want to feel empowered? Want to take your health into your own hands?
The place to start is on your plate.
Listen, I know from first-hand experience that it is daunting to make different choices than the ones that we have always made.
What is really resonating in my heart right now is the invitation to honestly look at how we feel about our health, our bodies, our lives, and then be willing to look at our daily patterns to see where the connections lie.
We are in absolute control. If you don't like the way you feel, the way to get a different result is to take a different path of action.
This is my work, and I couldn't be more passionate about it!
To drive this concept of energetics home, here are 4 food-related contemplations. The invitation here is not simply to read the words, but rather tune into your own energetic needs.
Vibration is very real! If one of these ideas or suggestions causes a reaction in you, positive or negative, whether you are attracted or repelled, that is a great indicator that there is something juicy for you to examine. 1. Connect the dots If you struggle with lethargy, and if you also regularly consume caffeinated drinks, there is a connection. It is not a coincidence that someone who regularly stimulates their body also suffers an imbalance of naturally cultivated Energy. 2. Lighten Up If you wake up in the morning or at any point in your day find yourself feeling very physically or emotionally heavy, choose foods that are energetically light. Broths, smoothies, greens and salads, fruit, crunchy vegetables (celery, cucumber, fennel), mint and lavender teas, and chicken are all great examples of foods that will deliver more energy. 3. Ground Down On the opposite end of the spectrum, if you're feeling flighty, overwhelmed, stuck in your mind, anxious, your heart is racing, and you're having a hard time slowing down in general, choose foods and beverages that will ground you. Examples of this might be root vegetables such as carrots, parsnips, or potatoes, nuts, or meats from larger animals. 4. Your body is wise. Ask it what it needs, and then listen. Just listen. This is a practice, and it takes time to hone our skills. Listening is a skill set— not something we naturally possess, but rather a skill we develop. Listening to our body is a great place to practice presence, attentiveness, and deeply authentic self-care.
Your turn! I'd love to hear from you!
Where are you with your energy? On a scale of 1-10, 1 being can't get out of bed and 10 being you feel like a superhero from morning to night, where do you land?
