It could even explore evil topics and bring awareness of how easy it is to fall towards fascism, how easy it is to think you are in the right side of history only to realize how deeply wrong you are. You gloss over evil things because you think it's moral or wrong but you're perpetuating the taboo, adding to it and making it grow. Taboo is censorship. Ignorance is what destroys humanity, I agree. And fiction is fiction; taboo still exists as a concept because some subjects are taboo, but fiction shouldn't be penalized. It still, however, should be labeled accordingly so that people can avoid what things they wish to. Trauma is also a thing, and it's important not to ignore that in favor of whining about enforcing morality on fictional bullshit.
