This is the kind of take that can only come out of someone if they completely and utterly despise transmasculine people, full stop. The idea that trans men can’t use it for themselves is about as stupid as the idea that trans women can’t call themselves butch because it’s sometimes used to misgender and degrade trans men. Neither are a “violent slur” and just mean feminine man/masculine woman. Cuntboy, on the other hand, literally contains a word considered offensive and derogatory in many parts of the world and combines it with “boy” to objectify and fetishize men with vaginas, aka overwhelmingly trans men. It shouldn’t be difficult to understand why that would make a lot of trans men and mascs uncomfortable and not want to identify with it. This kind of ahistorical patronizing policing of identities is purely a projection of hatred and disdain wrapped in a veneer of progressive identity politics to maintain plausible deniability. I actually hate learning new slurs. Like, yes, it's important to be able to recognize them, but man. I did not need to see/hear that. I did not need to know. I'm sad someone would something like that about a marginalized minority group :(
