NOUVELLES DU JOUR aka the daily news paris & bucharest

the daily cares about their reputation, so things are stringently fact-checked here. they’re the most reliable source for news, and they’re not a company you want to upset. they take their jobs very seriously, and don’t take kindly to people trying to play them. they want to report the facts. those looking to publish a story with some credibility will want it to go in this paper, and being name-checked in its pages for a good reason is an honor. 

THE WORD  london

while other papers might be looking to provide the facts, the word is just hoping to sell. they enjoy being able to put a real story out there, but things are often sensationalized and blown out of proportion for the sake of grabbing attention.

it’s well-circulated, so getting your name within their pages is worth a lot — only you’d better hope what they’re writing about you is nice. being talked about by this paper is a great way to gain a reputation, really — you just won’t be in charge of what that reputation is.

MODA MONDIALE MAGAZINE aka moda magazine rome & berlin

the celebrity and events team at style-centric moda love following the rich and famous. they cover everyone they like — it’s not just the glitzy a-listers who end up in the tabloids, but anyone with true style and grace can make it here. they have an eye for nobles and dignitaries, the sons and daughters of business magnates and all the cool, classy socialites who are known simply for being who they are. they’re unlikely to report on scandals, per se, but they’ll keep your face in print for all the right reasons and drop you the moment you no longer fit their image.

VIDA GLAMOROSA aka glam life magazine madrid

trashy and full of half-truths, this magazine exists just to get people talking. they’ll write about anyone and anything —they love a fall from grace, a whispered secret, a fabricated scandal, and best of all? if you pop an ‘allegedly’ in there somewhere, you can’t even really get sued or asked to apologize. it’s all about pushing a story, selling a narrative. people just want to be entertained, so provided stories have a grain of truth in them, is it so bad to exaggerate a little? the physical magazine is available in spanish and english.

VIBECHECK.COM vienna

the internet is like the wild west, there are no real laws as to what you can and can’t do, and viral website ‘vibe check’ makes the most of that. they’re a young team who enjoy poking fun at the mishaps and misfortunes of the elite almost as much as they enjoy thirsting over the ones they consider hot.

the site has diversified slightly into including quizzes and silly listicles, but they make their bread and butter talking about the wealthy people of the world, and their site is getting a ton of traffic for it, too. they might look like they’re taking everything as a joke, but they know what they’re doing.
