my heart that once was beating, bleeding in the palm of your hand
If Junichiro doesn’t kill Atsushi, the Special Division will. They’ll do it ruthlessly, mercilessly, with no knowledge, or regard, for the person that Atsushi is. They’ll see a threat, and they’ll treat him like one. If Junichiro doesn’t kill Atsushi, his end will be cruel and drawn out at worst, or inconsequential at best. If Junichiro does kill Atsushi… They do start laughing then. The giggles bloom before they can stop them, bursting forth entirely devoid of life or humour. Utterly hysterical, irrefutably out of control. If Junichiro kills Atsushi, they’ll have to watch the light leave his eyes. They’ll have to see his face morph and curl up into a look of betrayal, or, even worse, smooth out to become resigned acceptance. If Junichiro kills Atsushi, they don’t know if they’ll survive it.
To the world, Nakajima Atsushi is a liability, a threat to all that cross his path. He can't control the tiger that dwells within him, therefore he can't be trusted.
To Junichiro, Atsushi is light and life itself.
