Pokémon Go at Wild Basin
The Pokémon Go craze has swept the nation and Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve in Austin, Texas is no exception. Pokémon Go has tapped into humans innate sense of hunting in this case hunting Pokémon. Catching Pokémon has become a virtual reality interaction with the players and real life surroundings. As soon as you enter Wild Basin you have the opportunity to collect some poke balls, incents, or maybe even an egg to hatch at the pokéstop located at the welcome sign. Before you hit the trails be sure to stock up on pokéballs at the other two pokéstops so you can catch something like the Krabby or Nidoran in the pictures here.
Don't forget to pop an egg in the incubator so you can be hatching while you hike our 2.27 miles of trails. Once your done with your hike try battling some of your Pokémon at our Gym located at the front walkway leading to the main building from the parking lot. If you going to look for Pokémon or just hatch some eggs, you may as well hike somewhere beautiful like Wild Basin and get your nature fix at the same time!
At Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve you will have the opportunity to not only encounter pokemons such as Krabby but you will also have the opportunity to come face to face with peculiar wildlife and endangered species!

Hiking on Kauai!! They say you can live here for years and hike everyday and still not see everything there is to see on The Garden Island!! We opted for the Nu'alolo Trail and it was worth every crazy step! With all the slippery mud this trail gets technical in a few spots, and the inclines are intense!! The Deukmejian Wilderness Park is FULL of trails to lose yourself on! Bring tons of water and see how much ground you can cover. They are all moderate hikes with no technical treks.
