So I was just wrapping a white elephant gift and it was in a gift bag and the gift bag started falling apart and I panicked and tried to scream “get the tape!” But then I shouted “get the salt!” And my whole family looked at me like I was crazy so in conclusion I’ve had too much internet today

Late Night Tales from convention staff.... part 1

So, I'm a member of staff at an anime con. It's great. There's so many fantastic things but did you know on the mobile tumblr if you drag the create blog post around your screen it'll look like a caterpillar? Either way!! I'm a member of video staff and our whole job is to sit there and play anime for 23hrs.

I ask for the overnight shift and get to see all sorts of weird stuff. Like From the New World or When Supernatural Battles Become Commonplace. The male lead by the way in the later looks adorable in a maid outfit.

And at 3am we shut all the machines off to let them cool down. The meeting room at the hotel we're in has it's own speakers that keep making popping sounds. My partner was looking for a place to make her flapjacks while I'm sitting her contemplating if I need to raid the hotel kitchen for salt....
