Some like it hot

It's getting to be that sweaty time of year.  This is the only season where displaying heavy perspiration is an acceptable fashion statement.  To be honest I dislike real hot weather.  We have the air conditioning on "Give yourself pneumonia" setting in our home. (That's my wife's doing.  I came home the other day and found she had our air conditioner set at 61 degrees.  I told her most polar bears would be complaining it was too cold.)  I know it's bad to take candy from strangers, but if a stranger were to offer me a Pudding Pop or an Italian Ice I might follow them. (Excessive heat can lead to bad decisions.) When I was a kid I was the one who always got sunburned while on vacation.  I'm not an easy to tan person, I'm naturally set up for more of a Casper the Friendly Ghost look.   It was made clear early that Aloe was my friend.  It was brought up naming our first daughter Aloe Vera.  The wife wouldn't have any part of that.  The worst thing about summer is nothing goods on TV.  Perhaps tonight I'll rent Mr. Poppers Penguins.  That movie makes my wife's AC settings not seem so out of whack.
