Whenever someone compliments me with 'nice' I'm waiting for the 'try' to come

So I put in my 2 weeks last friday and so I have 8 days left, and one of my coworkers decided to come by and tell me that he’s going to miss me, and that he hopes the best for me. Also told me how nice and hard working I am and I almost cried because that job really stresses me out and I didn’t feel like I really deserved that compliment to a degree. I mean I’m generally nice until you tick me up, but some days I just have a short fuse and I can sometimes take things out on people without meaning to. Which is entirely unacceptable... and the guilt of that makes me feel like I didn’t deserve the compliment.
