Had the best day yesterday attending my local trans pride and popping along to queer bookclub in the middle. So happy with how my sign turned out.
Got this cute Plymouth trans pride hat as well as this fab print from my friend @kricketcrafts . I also picked up next months bookclub pick from The Old Queeriosity Shop and grabbed an adorable badge made from scraps of an old trans pride flag. A beautiful day. I love being queer.
1 month my dudes!!! I cannot wait to see My Chemical Romance live for the second time in my life. I didn’t ever think I’d get that first chance, let alone two!
The first time I saw them was their first gig of the Swarm tour at The Eden Project and it was amazing but really low key. I’m excited for the theatrics and bigness seeing the Long Live The Black Parade tour at Wembley. Plus I’m going with one of the friends I went to the Eden show with so we can compare notes.
Said friend isn’t massively online so is behind on all the lore and chaos of this tour so I’m making her a PowerPoint presentation and I am in my element! I’m an autistic Virgo elder emo this is my dream.
I’m sure the MCR posting will increase for a while so enjoy my comfort unhinged American rock band.
My brain has picked a really bad time to start being incredibly dysphoric. I can’t bind because I’m still chest feeding my baby and I can’t wear much in the way of layers because apparently we’re having a heatwave. I’m hoping to go for a swim in the sea next week with a friend but that’s gonna be a whole thing emotionally, although I am really excited to float about a bit. The seas always very soothing for my soul so hopefully the good will outweigh the bad. Also my local trans pride is next month so that’s something to look forward to.
But on top of that the country is getting more transphobic by the day and the gic system is so fucked and I’m so broke. I’ve been on the waiting list for 5 years now and it’s gonna be at least that again, if not longer, before I even get a first appointment. I’m gonna be bloody 40 at this rate. Whats a person gotta do to chop their tits off and get some T around here? Oh yeah sit around and twiddle their thumbs then jump though a million hoops and say all the right things to sound binary enough to get what you need.
There’s not really much point to this rant other than I’m angry, frustrated and trans. And this is my blog and I will rant if I want to. It worked when I was a confused 16 year old bisexual girl, it’ll work now I’m an angry 31 year old trans guy.
Obligatory British person “fuck me it’s hot” post. For reals though I’ve never experienced heat like this. It’s 29.4 in my room rn and creeping up by the minute. I am so sweaty it’s unreal. It’s so humid too. Ugh.
