So I am a casual listener of Alex Warren. He’s written a few earworms that won’t leave my head and I follow his Tik Tok account.
Today I am working and finally put on a whole album.
I’m sorry- the man put “Get Away Car” on his newest album out only a month ago, and you all looking at his latest concert cancelation like 👁️ 👄 👁️ and 😱.
Dude- I know people who are buying tickets are the kind of people who actually listen to albums, and he put a song about not feeling like himself any more on an album also about a grief journey.
Not saying you should expect it when you buy the tickets, but it really should not be surprising you either. Even if it HAD turned out he had over booked himself (he didn’t, he needed to take a mental health break) that is still well within the acceptable parameters of messy grieving behavior. That’s a time to send the man chocolates and flowers that say “missed you at the concert, feel better,” not a time to get angry online.
Ya’ll fans of the man or not? 🤨
And if not- why you going to his concerts? 🤔
