I have been up for two hours; I still have not actually gotten out of bed.
6:25 AM, and I only took to bed about five hours ago. As much as I try I cannot fall back asleep. It is cold, though I am under a sheet and comforter. It must be the sunlight, but the sky is grey with a storm brewing on the horizon. The light escaping through the cracks in my blinds is peaceful, bearable. Why am I up? It makes little sense. I slept soundly with no intrusion, except for now. Reminding me of when I used to wake and chase the dawn. Those days are gathering cobwebs now, my body refusing to leave the comfort of my bed until 9:00 or later. I suppose some change is good. Sigh. My stomach is rumbling and my mouth is dry. Toast and tea? Hm, okay. I can do that.
