Sometimes dreams DO come true :)
In July 2018 I completed my first book. Since November 2018 I started sending it to publishers. At the beginning, I was totally confident and happy, but when one cancellation after the other arrived, my self-doubt began to grow. What if I was not good enough? If my friends had lied to me? What if I had no talent? If my story was bad? I got 13 cancellations and the advice of a 'friend' to abandon the book project. But ... that felt wrong. I LOVED my project. It was not the best in the world. It was not a twilight and not a Harry Potter. But it was not bad either. It was a sweet little book that would surely bring joy to someone besides me. And so I tried it on and on and on and on. Until .... until I got a 'Yes’ from a publisher. There are no words to describe how I feel. Since I was 12, this was my biggest dream. And now, it seems like it was going to become reality. ♥ I'm 23 now. I've been writing for over 10 years. And now my first book comes out. So I'll say the following to anyone who reads this: Do not let rejections get you down! Even if nobody believes in you. Even if it seems like nobody wants you! Of course, criticism is important, but ... if you truly and sincerely believe in your book, then share it. Share it so that it can make others as happy as yourself.
