As they walked down the hallway, he felt embarrassed at the thought that if the restaurant were full, he wouldn’t be able to pick out Xaver.
Excited to share my new short story. A deeply personal story.
I did it! 🎉 I got up the courage and queried another agent.
Her wish list seems very aligned with my book series to which I expressed with enthusiasm.
So we will see. 🤷🏻♀️ 🤞
Wish me luck! 🍀
One of the first things you need to know is 'pitching'--talking about your book in person--is not 'querying'--writing to an agent about your book. A pitch is short (VERY) and verbal. A query is short (250 words, but not 25) and written. A pitch is face to face. A query is not. A pitch requires some set up: my novel is finished; it's a historical romance; it's 78,000 words. That helps your listener get ready to hear your pitch. A query starts with the name of the main character and what problem or choice they face. A pitch is about 25 words. A query is about 250 words. Guess which one is harder?

**READ MMEEE** Wow, that's a lot of info up there and there is more happening down here. I have been trying to get my novel published for just under 4 years. This is a long process, for anyone who doesn't know. It takes lots of time and effort and I'm not getting paid for any of it. You wanna talk about a labor of love? I have it! Again, since I can't draw I rely on other options to get my brain going. Swipe on through to see a little bit more info about the maddness I have created since i was seventeen years-old. Oh, and if you're a #literaryagent (or know one) - are you open to submissions and where do I send it? 😀 LIKE, SHARE, COMMENT AND TAG! Love peace and chicken grease. 😘 #writersofinstagram #writing #publisher #publishing #denisleary #dwaynejohnson #johnnydepp #sophiekindagirlythings #literature https://www.instagram.com/p/B6Jh9GfFhvv/?igshid=1iiubtnx8icrs

Signed with a Literary Agent
So last week I signed with a literary agent. We’re going to work together to get Black Foxes traditionally published!
I’m super excited!! It’s been such a long road, and there are still years worth of work ahead, but it’s a big step toward becoming a published author.
Part of the process is expanding my social media presence, so I am happy to announce I now have both a Twitter and an Instagram! If you want to find out more about the literary agency I signed with, or you just want to support me, please find me on one or both,
