I remember years ago visiting my boy who had recently been drafted to the NBA. He was like I’m gonna hit the gym early in the morning, if you want to roll... I said yeah let’s do that (I’m a gym rat this should be a good look).... I go off and do my workout while he’s doing his shooting drills n stuff... an hour goes by and I’m done, thinking we’re gonna wrap up and head out soon. No sir-reee Bobby! 3 hours later we end up leaving the gym. It’s a good example of hard work paying off. The shots he was working on translated onto the b-ball court. In previous years he was a garbage man (that’s what I used to call it). He would grab rebounds and get points off of put backs and a few low post moves. Then after working on his shot he added a solid reliable mid range jumper to the repertoire. That work translated into a couple of All-Star appearances.
