You know when it comes to Dipper I think one of the saddest things is that he doesn't get a lot of positive feedback from people because of the tendency of others, even his own family, to treat his interests and quirks like jokes or inconveniences at times. And he finally gets someone willing to not only accept him for his quirks but praise him, but its clearly turning out to be an unhealthy influence. God, all of these characters deserve so much better than what's happening to them :(
