the “hit me hard and soft” tour was one of the best things that ever happened in her life—and especially in billie’s.
she had poured her heart and soul into the album, and she was so happy to know that through it she’d managed to touch so many hearts.
the entire process—from setting up the stadium for the show to the actual performance was exhausting, but billie handled everything perfectly with a huge smile. and you knew that even behind all that exhaustion, that was always and always will be—what she loved to do.
while you were extremely proud of how everything was going, you were also worried about your girlfriend—her well-being, her health, everything.
so right after the tour ended, you made sure to take care of Billie every step of the way, cater to her every whim, and let her get the rest she so deserved after all that hard work.
today was the first week since the tour ended, so you decided to wake up early to make a special breakfast for her.
the smell of toast filled the kitchen, making it feel as if you were inside a coffe shop.
everything was almost ready—the toast was cooked to perfection, the bowl of berries, yogurt, and granola was already waiting for billie, and the coffee she loved so much.
“wow… that smells so good” Billie’s slightly sleepy voice echoes from across the kitchen.
“good morning, sweetheart.” you say with a smile and a soft tone of voice.
"good morning, love," she says, hugging you while planting a few kisses on your forehead and neck.
you laugh at the affectionate touch you love so much and reciprocate with a quick peck on the lips.
"come eat, everything's ready!" you say excited, leaving one last kiss on her nose.
"i can't wait" she says, heading toward the table set with all the food. "you made ALL this?" she asks, still half in disbelief.
"of course, you deserve it." you reply in an affectionate tone. "i hope you like it." you add, sitting down at the table with her.
"thank you so much, babe" she says, sounding as if she’d won a prize—even though it was just her girlfriend making breakfast.
you ate, taking your time and enjoying the peace you shared. every minute, billie talked about how delicious and incredible everything was, and how she felt her energies returning to her body. making your heart warm with every little compliment.
afterward, you went to wash the dishes, forbidding billie from even touching a towel to help you dry them.
"thank you again." she says softly, looking at you with those eyes that made you fall in love more and more.
"you don't need to thank me, bills, seriously!" you reiterate, stroking her hair. "you've worked so hard, and i know how stressful the tour was for you... it's the least i can do." you finish.
she lets out a soft, breathy laugh—not because she found something funny, but simply out of admiration for such kindness.
she moves her face closer to yours, holding it gently.
"how can someone as kind as you exist?" she says in a soft tone—so gentle and delicate that you could easily listen to that sweet voice forever.
she presses her lips against yours in a kiss that is soft yet full of passion and gratitude.
"i promise I'll rest, i know you're worried." she adds, planting a quick kiss on your cheek.
she lies down in your lap, and you pull a warm blanket over the two of you you strokes her hair again, only more softly and gently, while an episode of "the office" one of those you’ve probably both seen at least five times plays in the background. clearly, it wouldn't be long before you and billie drifted off to sleep.
