ONE THOUSAND HITS AND ONE HUNDRED KUDOS YOU GUYSSSSSSSSS I'M GONNA FUCKING CRY
Running out of cool apocalypse weapons and would love a hand! If you have any you'd like to see, or any you think I should give specific characters (any Hermit or Life Series member is in play here. I plan to hit most of them eventually.), I'd love the input! If I use your idea, I promise to credit you in the notes on the chapter!
So far we've got:
- Grian (Crossbow, hand axe for melee)
- Mumbo (large hammer)
- Pearl (baseball bat with barbed wire)
- Impulse (gun, small knife for melee)
Might fuck around and give Skizz a katana we shall see.
Thank you for any ideas you may have!
According to my sibling (bird owner and expert), they would not read my fic based entirely on the fact that my parrot's parents are corvids and his brother is a canary. They are caught up on this. I asked them about how Grian would care for his wings, fight, fly, all that jazz, and their response was "Why do you care about accuracy now, his parents are corvids." Attempts to explain the lore and world building did not help.
Being a writer who likes to do her research is really hard when you're squeamish and have a crazy physical response to gore. Like my hands are numb and my teeth hurt, but I know how to do apocalypse first-aid on deep lacerations.
Fanficing is really hard cuz I want to publish chapter five but first I have to publish chapters three and four. To all reading my fics: Just wait chapter five is gonna be so good

The world has been overrun by zombies for 57 days, and Grian has faced it all completely alone. He's handling it just fine, aside from a gash in his wing and a minor case of crippling loneliness. But when the a scream cuts through the silence, everything changes. Against his better judgment, Grian rushes to help, only to find that there are others still alive. In return for saving their lives, Grian finds himself as a member of their small, close-knit group. With undead danger closing in from all sides, Grian must confront his deepest fears, the shadows of his past, and the possibility of building something resembling family—if only he can let himself.
I'm on a roll with the fanfiction and I'm just gonna let it happen and post as I write, because I'm enjoying it a ton. Don't get used to this pace though. Eventually it'll stop flowing, and I'll slow down to a reasonable speed. Plus, I'm going out of the country this weekend (visiting my girlfrienddddddd), so I won't post anything until I get back on the 22nd at least.
