Making a mlp oc with chimerism bc it's a great allegory for being intersex.
Let me explain; because twins in mlp can come out as different species (unicorn, pegasus) [i.e cake twins] would chimerism cause a sort of faux alicorn?
Take flurryheart in example: cadence was a Pegasus turned alicorn, and shining armor is a unicorn.
Yes, I know celestia said that she's never seen a natural born alicorn. BUT, since faux alicorns would be incredibly rare, and have limited to no magic. The wings would end up like scootaloo's, or incredibly massive.
Next: with the allegory
If born like that, as we know; ponies are racist. Either the horn being cut or filed, or the wings clipped. But in the case of cadence, there's no way someone's going to risk any harm to a royal family member.
Though, celestia could respect that a faux alicorn is just a unicorn and a pegasus. Therefore allowing ponies with chimerism exist freely.
Chimerism in ponies could also look like this though:
- A horn that's longer than usual
- Wings that have varying sizes
- Double wings
- Double horns
Or even just intersex traits, such as:
- a stallion who has mare like qualities
- a mare with stallion like qualities
- a pony who doesn't get their cutie mark until much later
- a pony without a cutie mark
