Did you all know that during the emergence of Islam and with the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam being the commander of the Muslim army, there were tribes and groups of people that fled to the mountaintops once they get to know that they will be battling with the Muslim army?
Why?
I'll tell you why.
It was because the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam was the with them, even if they outnumbered the Muslims in that particular battle they will withdraw, they will flee away from the Muslim army or they will try to draw closer but they will never meet them in battle.
Subhan'Allah, right?

Here, let me tell you some of the campaigns that highlighted this event; and amongst these campaigns were of Ghatafan [Dhu Imr] and Dhat al-Riqa'.
These were the times when the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam received news that a group from Ghatafan, [particularly tribes of Tha'labah and Anmar], wanted to attack Madinah.
So with this, the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam together with four hundred of his Sahabah Radiyallahu Anhum and a few horses set out leaving 'Uthmaan Ibn Affan Radiyallahu Anhu in charge in Madinah.
When they reached Dhu'l Qussah, some of the Sahabah Radiyallahu Anhum captured a mushrik man named Jabbar from Banu Tha'labah and he was taken to the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaaam and there he told him Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam some information about his people [Banu Tha'labah] and said:
"They will never meet you in battle; when they heard you were coming, they fled to the mountaintops. I will go with you."
Jabbar was then called to Islam and he became Muslim and was made to be the brother of Bilal.
When they reached Sirar, the Muslims encountered a huge group of people from Ghatafan, some drew close, some fled but indeed there was no fighting that occurred or happened.
This happened for a duration of 15 days, so the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam was away from Madinah for 15 days.
