Silly Ghoap mini-comic incoming!
Sometimes we blurt out the most random stuff… Especially Soap.
Working at a military hospital, you’d seen your fair share of stubborn soldiers.
Johnny ‘Soap’ Mactavish had to be one of the worst. Stubborn. Hot headed. Annoyingly charming.
You read his file, swearing under your breath as you read exactly what had happened to him. Shot in the head, raised ICP, emergency craniotomy…paralysed down one side ‘fuck…’
Now it was your job to get him back to living on his own, doing things for himself and hopefully have a good quality of life.
The orderly wheeled him in and he sat in front of you. That big dopey grin on his face. “So yer the lass who’s gonna make me walk again?”
“Easy there big guy, one step-” you stopped yourself realising your big mistake, “one thing at a time.”
“Well, I’m plannin’ to propose to the missus and I need to stand at the top of that aisle.”
Well. That settled it. You both had a goal and you’d be damned if his wife didn’t get that surprise.
12 months later and after some intense therapy (some ending in tears - from who, you won’t tell) you’re sitting and watching as his two best men, presumably his teammates help stand him to his feet from the wheelchair.
What you don’t expect was his missus to be a 6ft2 hulk of a man with a black suit tailored to show his huge muscles walking up the aisle with a grin.
yuck.
inspired by how @lanialania00 draws ghost!
Ghost is definitely missing teeth. Some rotted out of his head as a teenager, when it took years to see a dentist that his parents wouldn't bother bringing him to anyway. A couple were knocked out by a lucky punch during a fight with another kid. Others were pulled out with pliers while he was under Roba's tender care. Christ, he doesn't even remember how he lost all of them, gaps in his mouth matching the gaps in his memory.
Most have been replaced, but not all of them, the scar tissue too dense to drill fake teeth into. It makes his smile, rare as it is, unexpectedly gummy, like a child waiting for their first coin from the tooth fairy.
It's ugly, Simon knows that. He's ugly, and it's not just the missing teeth, but they certainly don't help. He doesn't typically have to try not to smile, so it's not much of a worry, especially since he's almost always wearing his mask. But then he meets Johnny. Johnny, who makes him grin so hard it hurts. Johnny, who makes him want to take the mask off. Johnny, who he doesn't want to scare off with his ugly mug.
Johnny, who laughs when Simon tells him as much.
"Should ken me better'n that by now, Si. Ah'm fearless."
Johnny, who sees Simon's fucked up face and awful teeth, and stays anyway.
cheeky bastard soap at it again 🙄
softies
Soap and Ghost who just started dating. And Johnny who has always loved Simon's mask, but he’s never really seen it other than when Simon wears it. And when Johnny spots it in his drawer and he gets a little curious, it feels so light in his hand, and when nothing bad happens, Johnny even puts it off. He doesn't look nearly as cool and scary as Ghost does, Soap is staring at himself in the mirror, talking in his best British voice, imitating Ghost, Soap is flexing his muscles. And that's when Simon walks in. Johnny immediately takes it off and starts apologizing when he sees Simons smile and hard on, he’s still super flustered as Simon pushes him agasing the wall and starts squeezing him through his pants while saying “go on then, put it back on Johnny” Apparently Ghost didn't mind Soap wearing his mask, not one bit.
