Soap and Ghost who just started dating. And Johnny who has always loved Simon's mask, but he’s never really seen it other than when Simon wears it. And when Johnny spots it in his drawer and he gets a little curious, it feels so light in his hand, and when nothing bad happens, Johnny even puts it off. He doesn't look nearly as cool and scary as Ghost does, Soap is staring at himself in the mirror, talking in his best British voice, imitating Ghost, Soap is flexing his muscles. And that's when Simon walks in. Johnny immediately takes it off and starts apologizing when he sees Simons smile and hard on, he’s still super flustered as Simon pushes him agasing the wall and starts squeezing him through his pants while saying “go on then, put it back on Johnny” Apparently Ghost didn't mind Soap wearing his mask, not one bit.
thinking about artist soap who always jokes about never being the muse. now ghost doesn’t have a lick of artistic ability in his fingers, but he does have money and a long mental list of soap’s favorite things.
it takes a few weeks to arrive in the mail. ghost doesn’t think he’s ever seen soap this quiet. a portrait from oil paint made by one of soap’s favorite artists.

Ghoap, who arrived soaking wet at Soap’s flat after their date and went straight to take a warm shower.
Soap, who told Ghost he could look in his closet for clothes that might fit while he made a hot drink.
Ghost, who found a stack of punk band t-shirts that looked like they belonged to a defiant teenager—but there were too many to be left there by accident.
Ghost, who kept looking around out of curiosity and found a black box filled with studded chokers, band pins, leather bracelets, and chains. Straight out of Punk Fashion.
And Soap, who caught him in the act, standing in the doorway with two cups of hot chocolate in his hands, laughing as he admitted his punk phase.
Soap, who said he’s nowhere near as involved in the punk world as he used to be before enlisting.
Soap, who used to hang out with all sorts: anarchists shouting against the system, graffiti artists and musicians, troublemakers and addicts.
Soap, who was always at gigs and protests and tried cigars, joints, and drugs.
But he left it all behind. Except the music, because he will always be chaotic.
Ghost, who is never shocked by anything, feeling a pang of painful memories crashing back live waves at the mention of drugs.
Ghost, who saw what that bullshit can do to people—how much it can destroy you and everyone around you.
Ghost, who survived his alcoholic and addict father only to end up in the hell of trying to pull his brother Tommy out of drugs for years, being disappointed over and over again.
Ghost, who tries to hide how shaken he is, how quietly terrified he is at the thought that Soap—someone he trusts and shares a bed with almost every night—could go back to that.
And he just can’t drag another fucking addict out of that hellhole. Not again.
But Soap notices and he isn’t joking anymore. He knows his past didn’t sit well with Ghost, but doesn’t know the extend of it.
Soap, who’s afraid Ghost sees him differently, so he tries to convince him that he's moved on.
His fingers brush against Ghost's hand, still warm from holding the mugs.
He's changed quite a lot. He's not a teenager finding out about the world and getting smokes from strangers at gigs anymore. And he wants Ghost to see it.
He talks and talks and they end up in bed, drinking hot chocolate in the rainy night.
Ghost allows himself to listen—without comparisons, without assumptions. He allows himself to trust Soap, as he always has.
And Soap, who talks about what being punk truly is, and says it's about more than just leather, combat boots, gigs and smoke.
It's much more than shouting at the system and flipping the bird to the police at protests.
It’s about freedom. Self-expression. Fighting with everything you’ve got—never giving up, never conforming.
It’s all about people and justice. About being loud and unapologetically you.
And Soap's heart will always be loud and unapologetic.
In the end, Ghost is cool with that. Because that's the heart he fell for.

Soap was very fucking proud of his Scottish heritage, which is precisely why he got so fucking pissed when he heard the new recruit talking shit. Well he wasn't directly talking badly about Soap or Scotland, rather he was being homophobic. Made it so clear he thought skirts were only for girls, and when another soldier mentioned kilts he had the nerve to say “weird ass Scotts, not manly” and that's why Soap was mad, not only were they disrespecting Scottish culture they were also being homophobic, and he definitely wasn't just going to sit here and act like everything was fine.
So that night he dug around to find his old kilts, he’d never worn one on base but he still brought them with and kept them neatly rolled up in a drawer. And the next day he put it on, normally he only wore it when he went back home for celebrations but he could make an exception. When he walked out, Ghost was the first to see him, he just raised a brow. Soap actually took Ghost home last time he went so this wasn't Ghost's first time seeing Soap in a kilt. Ghost just leaned over and said “yer wearin’ pants right? I don't mind bein’ flashed, but we're trainin’ and I think others mind” Soap just smacked Ghost’s shoulder" I told ya that was an accident. And o’ course I am” Normally when he was at home he wore the kilt without anything underneath, just more comfortable to him. Last time he had accidentally flashed Simon, who was honestly more flustered and embarrassed than Soap was, he still occasionally teases Soap about it though.
Gaz came in next and immediately was shocked “what are you wearing” Soap very confidently said “a kilt, problem?” Gaz shook his head “I know what it is, I’m askin’ why are ya wearin’ it now” Ghost answered before Soap could go off about the recruit “some new recruit was bein’ and ass, so Soaps showin’ them” that picked Gaz’s interested “can I join?” Soap immediately agreed and ran to his room to grab another kilt for Gaz. When Gaz went off to change Ghost jokingly told him “don’t forget your pants” Soap just smacked him again and whispered to Ghost “oi shut it, you liked it”
Both sergeants walked out in their kilts acting as if this was their normal trousers, the look on the recruits face was fucking priceless. All of them were speechless for a moment before someone asked what was going on and Soap proudly said “showin’ off ma Scottish heritage. Sergeant Gaz is joinin’ me” really it was that simple but another recruit asked “how are we going to train” Soap simply answered “like normal, like real men” he said it while looking directly at the recruit that made the original comment. And that's exactly what they did, first Soap and Gaz sparred, then Soap sparred with Ghost, before beckoning the original recruit closer. And of course Soap wiped the floor with him, and would've kept going if Ghost didn't stop him. Soap stayed in the kilt the whole day, and although he got a few odd looks no one else asked him about it, and he didn’t hear a single peep out of the recruit. Gaz also kept it on the whole day and around lunch he even asked if he could keep it, and of course soap let him, he had way too many already.
Thinking about how Ghost and Soap probably have matching piercings or tattoos somewhere. Soap would probably have a little skull tattoo, and Ghost would have a bar of soap. Ghost would probably also be the type to have a full tattoo sleeve of Soap lol
For earrings, Ghost would have either some bones or a simple stub
Soap would definitely have some kind of gemstone and get one for Ghost. Probably Ghost’s birthstone, or something “dark and broody” in Simon’s words. Obsidian, maybe?
I feel like Simon would also love charcoal. He’d write really stupid shit with it on wooden tables/public picnic benches and whatnot
