Imagine a ghost hunter or just someone who believes all ghosts are evil ranting on live about how bad ghosts are, and there phone is suddenly snatched into the air and Phantom flies away with the camera and goes “Shut up and let me show you something important” and then he puts the phone down in an unknown location, leaves, and comes back with a group of ghost blobs. He kneels down in front of the phone and starts listing their names and habits. Examples:

“This is Casper, Casper thinks first aid kits are edible. He is wrong and I keep finding bite marks on my first aid kit no matter where I hide it.”

“This is Raven, she likes to nap on me whenever she can and pick fights with orange cats.”

“This is Orbit, they’re convinced that I’m their child and treat me as such.”

I sometimes see the concept of Danny being the Ghost King or Prince, sharing his ectoplasm with other ghosts so they can become visible or physical. I also occasionally come across prompts or stories where he interacts with ghost blobs—or where he’s mistaken for an ice meta.

So, what if—let’s say—he gets adopted by Bruce, Clark, or even Barry? Maybe this happens after a bad Fenton parent reveal, or the Fenton parents get arrested for child neglect, OSHA violations, or for nearly starting a war with an infinite, unstoppable dimension of death. Danny ends up being taken in by one of the other heroes—whatever the reason may be.

As Ghost King/Prince, Danny gives off a lot of ecto, and let’s just say that in his free time, he’s tamed a few ghost blobs. Since he wants to keep his identity as King/Prince a secret but still wants to interact with the blobs, he pretends that it's just his meta ability.

So to everyone else, it looks like this meta kid has the ability to summon small, slightly radioactive, slightly glowing, adorable blobs as pets—when in reality, they always follow him around. He just occasionally gives them enough ectoplasm to be visible and physical.

And I know—what about Cujo? Well, Cujo could just occasionally show up, and Danny’s excuse could be that it’s one of his blobs that "evolved" into the form of a dog and now has free rein to run around as he pleases. But Danny can still call on him when needed.

(Optional idea): Let’s say, due to the portal being closed—or maybe just as a result of the accident—Danny is partly blind. I imagine that his human form slowly goes blind over time, but it’s subtle enough that no one notices until he’s fully blind. So by the time the Fenton parents are arrested (or whatever the trigger event is), Danny has already lost much of his sight in human form. He uses the blobs to help him with day-to-day tasks, which only adds to the illusion that it’s just a meta ability.

Also, a cute little idea—regardless of who adopts Danny (Bruce, Clark, or Barry)—someone's definitely going to end up naming the blobs and making tiny hats for them. For example, Damian might name them if Danny’s adopted by Bruce, Jon if by Clark, and Bart if by Barry.

Blob Danny's Adventures

After the sixth time Danny is woken from his nap by the Observants because of a serious problem (which wasn't serious at all), he becomes enraged and decides to hide from them in the best way possible: He transforms into a blob

First, because they hate blobs, and second because he had always wondered how they lived their lives. The problem is that while he was jumping, a portal to the human world opened below him, and he ended up falling straight into a weird city full of colorful people. Other problem is that Gotham doesn't have enough ecto for him to come back into his original form, was he destined to be a blob forever?

At first he got desperate when he discovered the situation but in the end he decided to just enjoy his unanticipated vacations, surely Clockwork would notice if something bad happen to him and would get him out of there.

Danny started wearing his core on his head because there was technically no point in hiding it, it would obviously show inside his body. Camouflaging it as a diadame was the best he could think of.

Although he felt very exposed, so he mostly covered it, only a small diamond was visible on his forehead, which would disappear if attacked. At least his abilities weren't affected.

What he didn't expect was to end up as an online celebrity after beating up a clown in that form. He much less expected a guy in a red helmet to start offering him "tributes" but free food was free food.

Meanwhile, the batfamily is worried about Jason joining a strange cult, but they have no proof other than the obvious happy smile on his face and his new circular key chain.

I just had the wildest thought. So, blob ghosts, right? There are a lot of ways people describe their purpose, from a food source to feeder fish. But what if they are beings made from ectoplasm, that give off ectoplasm. Like, they way we describe Danny giving off ambient ecto, what if they do the same?

But let's not stop there. Combind this with the au where Lazerus pits are like a drug to ghosts. What do we get? That's right, blob ghosts that can get other ghosts high.

Can you just imaging the batfam not hearing from Jason for a few days, assume the worst, and break into his apartment. Only to find an extremely calm and relaxed and maybe blissed-out Red Hood, a giggly black-haired teenager, and a slew of green blobs lazing around the duo.
