Ben is so tired of watching Ty Morgan drag himself home covered in bruises, blood, and “just-fell-down-the-stairs” excuses.
So Ben does what any totally rational college student with a minor in paranormal studies would do— he summons a protection spirit.
Something to keep Ty safe when he refuses to keep himself that way.
He draws the circle, lights the candles, and chants the old words. It works. Sort of.
Because somewhere across the veil, Danny Nightshade was just eating cereal in peace— and suddenly, he’s standing in his underwear in a stranger’s living room, surrounded by candles, while some blond guy frantically waves a glowing contract at him.
