this is their dynamic to me
Dear fucking god I have not stopped thinking about Grace and Max since I watched npmd. Absolutely INSANE character dynamic. Like. They both find a power trip by being together, or even fantasizing about it. Max calls her forbidden fruit but what’s so interesting is that to her he is the forbidden fruit. At first you think they’re opposites but then you realize they’re exactly the same. Justifying their own awful actions by saying that they have a godlike entitlement to do what they want. The religion themes. The power trips. The way they’re looking in a mirror and seeing everything they hate and everything they want so so bad. The way Max is shown in dirty girl having so many similarities with when he appears as a ghost bcus to Grace he was already haunting her. Literally fucking insane
"the worst thing she can say is no" actually, no...the worst thing she can say is "I paid the price, now fuck off" after she sacrificed her virginity to send you to hell
this happened to my buddy Max
in most situations i would hate the trope of "he's mean to everyone except for her" but grace is just as equally fucked up as max so i don't mind it at all
(post-canon au with grace using ghost!max to kill dirty dudes)
grace: it’s pride month, max! you know what that means!
max: huh- what?
max: do you want us to commit like. gay murder?
max: what
grace: :)

[ID: three screenshots of different scenes from Nerdy Prudes Must Die. The first is from the song Dirty Girl, where Max Jagerman is singing, ‘dirty, dirty girl, won’t you pray for me?’ The second is from the title song, where the ghost of Max sings, ‘who will pray for me?’ The third is from Dirty Dudes Must Die, where Grace is singing ‘who will pray for you?’ End ID.]
