Maybe I’m being the friend that’s Too Woke™ but having Corey being the dead friend in Tomb Quest is kinda giving the “Black dude dies first” trope.

Out of the entire cast they have the only visible racial minority be a guy who dies off screen. And they don’t even give him the grace of his character being featured on the merchandise (genuinely everybody’s character is on this poster bar Corey’s- despite the fact his character is suppose to show up within the tabletop game).

Idk man I feel as if they could have casted anybody else to play the dead friend role.

Hey, everyone! I think it's about time I unveiled this year's list of prompts for Fortnight! I probably could have waited a day, but I'm also excited, so....

Who is running this event?

Just like the last two years, that would be me: @snarky-wallflower.

How will this event work?

All creations are welcome in this event—fanfiction, fan art, memes, edits, etc—so long as they’re about Pulp Musicals, and are based off of the prompts given above! However, content involving such things as incest or adult/minor ships and the like is strictly forbidden for this event. 

When will this event be running?

August 2nd to August 15th!

What are the hashtags I should use when posting my work for this event?

Please use #pulp musicals fortnight 2026 or #pulp musicals fortnight for whatever you make! 

Is there an AO3 collection for this event?

Yes! I'm still working on getting it set up, but it will exist! I plan to make a post highlighting it afterwards.

What are alternates?

They are prompts that you can slot in to any day instead of that day’s official prompt, in case you don’t like it or don’t know what to do. You can use all of them, some, or none! You can even use both official prompts and alternates on the same day. 

Do I have to make something for every prompt?

Make as much or as little content as you want! This week is supposed to be fun for every fan, so do whatever makes you happy.
