history: born to a kittypet named sugar, sugar gave ghoststar to flickerclan to prevent her twolegs from taking him away and homing him somewhere else. as a younger cat, ghoststar was known for his prowess in fighting but also being very quiet. it wasn't until tensions in flickerclan over non-clanborn warriors began heating up that ghoststar found his voice. he rallied his fellow non-clanborn warriors to not tolerate their worse treatment from their clanmates, leading to flickerclan driving the cats out. he will never forget phantomstar's parting gift to him in allowing ghoststar and his cats to escape. once settling in their new home and gaining his nine lives, ghoststar named his new clan spiritclan for his cats' bravery, and to hopefully encourage integrity in his clan above all else.

history: thought to be stillborn, he surprised his mother when he opened his eyes just before he was meant to be buried, earning him the name phantomkit. as phantomstar grew, he became known to be a kind and thoughtful warrior. this, however, would end up being his downfall when his former clan, flickerclan, erupted into civil war over phantomstar's tolerance to allowing non-clanborn cats to train as warriors. before the non-clanborn flickerclan cats could be massacred, phantomstar gave his last 4 lives fighting his own clanmates to allow ghostlurk and the other non-clanborn clanmates escape. in death, phantomstar helped guide ghostlurk and the other former flickerclan cats to their new home in the crystal caves as a new clan, spiritclan. phantomstar declared ghostlurk spiritclan's first leader.

traits: grumpy, incredible runner, formidable fighter, expert experience

history: shadowdapple's father was a loner, but had joined flickerclan after proving himself in a duel. due to being technically clanborn, shadowdapple received better treatment than his clanmates, but still constantly had to prove himself as a warrior regardless. this led to relentless training, though shadowdapple had believed this was what was expected of any cat. it wasn't until ghoststar rallied his clanmates that shadowdapple realized he was the exception, not the rule as far as cats with questionable roots. when it mattered most, shadowdapple joined the fight to escape flickerclan. while he and ghoststar often have differing ideas, ghoststar chose him as spiritclan's deputy due to his blunt honesty and prowess as a warrior.
