Ghotul is a religious and social Center for Gond tribal society and is a village dormitory for unmarried girls and boys. The young adults here can date, practice the sex before the marriage with one or different partners, learn the culture and legends of their tribe. As per the tribal legend – Lingo, their brave ancestor and the highest deity built the initial Ghotul and the founder of this culture. In Ghotul, the boys are termed as Cheliks whereas the girls are called Motiaris, the leaders of Ghotul here are called Siredar and Belosa respectively. The Ghotuls of Madia Gond tribes are quite different from the Ghotuls of Bastar  region; here the girls and boys go to their respective houses to sleep in the night. The Muria are an adivasi (tribe) of the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh, India. They are part of the Gondi people. Traditionally they are economically homogenous and strive to work as a collective. They have mixed-sex dormitories where adolescents are sent to practice premarital sex, sometimes with a single partner and sometimes serially. They have an omnivorous diet, with liquor playing a key role in their society. . The Muria embrace sexuality from a young age. Moreover, they have a tradition that is quite unique, called 'ghotul'. Ghotul is an important tool of Muria tribe that imparts gender equality, and a unique form of expressing love.This Ghotul system is a a hut made up of bamboos or mud and can be called a modern day nightclub, where taboos related to sex don't exist. Muria adolescents are imparted physical education, skill training, sex awareness and uninhibited entertainment. Both boys and girls are sent to Ghotul once they turn 10. In some ghotul, adolescents are put in monogamous relationships; in others they are discouraged from becoming emotionally attached to their partners, and those who sleep together for more than three nights are punished. Although having privacy for intercourse is considered important, it is not deemed a necessity. . Prior to engagement, Muria men may freely engage in sexual intercourse with their mother's brother's daughter or father's sister's daughter, while women may do the same with their father's sister's son or mother's brother's son; this is not allowed after betrothal. Women may freely grab each other's breasts or exchange sexually themed jokes, a custom which becomes more common as they get older. . The Muria generally marry late and do not pay dowries. There are no Sex-Related Crimes in Muria tribe. .
