Diluc isn’t the hug person type and would try to do anything to decline it, unless you give him puppy eyes and maybe he’ll change his mind.
If he ever wants to hug you, he would just head pat you softly and nothing else.
He can’t seem to focus if you give him puppy eyes while asking if you could both hug, so he hugs you for how adorable are you.

Xiao is a hugging person but is similar to Diluc at this point.
Always busy and, rarely has time for you or anything.
Yes, again the puppy eyes are needed for this.
He would hug you if he has time for you, but it seems like this is only once in a blue moon.
