mateo was walking down the streets of chicago back to the apartments after a quick stop at the nearest grocery store and then liquor store. he had the afternoon free, as he was assigned a morning shift and he couldn’t help notice a certain small italian was running the next shift. he looked down at his shiny watch calculating she should be done soon. mateo didn’t call or even text ahead to let her know he made plans for them, that’d be too kind. making it into his apartment he placed three bags on the kitchen counter before pulling out his phone. “princesa come to my apartment.” he typed into the messaging app, for good measure he added “it’s an emergency!” in the next little bubble with an amused smile. he put down his phone with a sigh and began unpacking the groceries.

lighthearted headcanon about our muses 

since the two are next door neighbors babe can smell gianna’s cooking as it comes off the stove. she’ll knock or sometimes just pop her head in to see if gianna needs someone to appreciate her masterpieces. 

babe forgets her key ALL THE TIME so she made a copy and gave it to gianna for safe keeping also another reason to visit. 

babe times her jam sessions (where she plays v loud music and dances around her apartment) with gianna’s shifts as not to bother her and slightly out of embarrassment but she’s been caught one or two times. 

babe tried to console gianna when adam left. she made it a point to stay neutral like a child in a divorce but asked how she was, everyday for the first month or so.
