The wonderful new leaves of Rodgersia podophylla (Rodgers' bronze-leaf) in a woodland garden. This vigorous, rhizomatous herbaceous perennial needs a moist growing environment producing jaggedly-lobed palmate leaves which are bronze when young, then green before turning reddish-bronze in autumn. In late summer arching panicles of small creamy-white flowers are produced once the plant is established.
