This striking sculptural foliage was probably Rodgersia 'Bronze Peacock'. This handsome perennial has bright reddish bronze colour leaves before turning green with tall sprays of pink flowers. It is ideal for growing in a sheltered, shady spot with ferns.

The clump-forming perennial Rodgersia 'Bronze Peacock' needs a moisture retentive soil and shelter from cold drying winds. The plant produces large leaves divided into veined, glossy leaflets of reddish-bronze, maturing to dark green. In summer, tall sprays of bright pink flowers rise above the foliage.
