Allow me to briefly explain why reaching this page is a momentous occasion:
This is p 6852, posted on 16th October 2013. P 6853 would be posted on 17th October 2014. That's right pals: this page marks the start of the gigapause.
I read Homestuck for the first time in 2013 and reached this page within a week (in which I barely slept, ate, or did anything except speedread my new Special Interest comic). I can barely explain how I felt when I realised there wasn't a ==> button to press, and no one knew when there would be one again.
By the time Homestuck unpaused I was living and studying in another dang country. If you go back far enough in this blog you'll see plenty of posts bout living in Paris - and then a slew of ecstatically happy posts after every update all the way through to the end of Homestuck (#upd8 I'm pretty sure).
Anyway I got a weird jolt of nostalgia at this page and wanted to share.
You can't imagine the emotional impact of being a 15 year old who caught up to Homestuck during the Gigapause, waiting more than ten months, and then your first update that you experience is [S] GAME OVER.
Laughing at people talking about hs:bc update schedules being delayed
Im not reading hs:bc, but i saw a few people talking about the pause and im just laughing, i found HS during 2011 before all the pauses, megapauses and gigapauses. let alone the evil pause between the final pages and the post credits.
does anyone remember tavrisoleriterezepetamzeequiuradikarnayaferi or was that a fever dream. how many newer homestuck fans dont know about the weird shit that got made during pauses
@sparrowpharoh replied to your post “top 10 D&D dungeon traps”
Please no one let Frank DM she's too vicious
You all missed that the last section of the dungeon was giant spiders in my mind?
The real Homestucks remember when Gigapause, the website not the hiatus, was still running
Question for anyone really, do you remember the social media(?) thing gigapause for homestuck, and had pages for ships and whatnot, rereading homestuck and got me to remember
