Forgive my ignorance, but is the more human like form I see how you see yourself, or can you shapeshift?

I imagine it more like their monster selves and their gijinka (humanoid) selves living in two parallel universes where the main events happen at the same time, sorta.

Of course you can find a ton of incoherences in such a setting but I find it convenient nonetheless. Plus I love drawing both forms }}

Surprisingly, my comment makes her eyes twitch toward me, just a little. But she quickly looks away, ashamed of her tears.

That look, though. 

I wish I had it more often on my face when I was a kid.

What is she going to show me? Is there anything in this magic that I haven’t discovered yet?…

I rise once again, seeing her stepping up to the fire, flames swirling around her body. Were she not a Fatalis, I’d be worried that she burnt herself.

And this time, I keep my mouth shut.

The revelation struck me like a thunderbolt. Here is the true culprit, the one who has been behind all this and because of whom my Fatalis friend might die today.

Moreover, I can’t help but wonder why this Silver Rathalos is telling me his plans. Am I not just another rival to him? Do I look that weak that he believes I’m easy to get rid of if I ever decide to get in the way?

Or my head is on his black list since the beginning anyway; as his is now on mine.

“This is smart, Wyvern,” I start as I slowly fill the air with explosive powder. “But you need more than a brain to rule a volcanic territory. Especially one like this. Those poor muscles of yours might not get along with the other Monsters being interested into it too.”

“Cuz you believe I cannot fight?” he growls, finally putting down his smile. “It’s not because you got a couple more arms and might be older than me that you can allow your pitiful self to insinuate such stupidities.”

“Look at that size! The gem is so small compared to a Teostra’s lungs. So don’t worry about breathing, it doesn’t bother. For pure information, I don’t think that I personally have one, I’ve been living in humid areas for a while now and the gems rarely form themselves in these conditions…”
