Are they like this? As far as I’m aware, they’re like this when it comes to Emma. Yeah you can make an argument about the whole “bombing the shelter” thing for the both of them and I would agree that they also love each other, but I think their no. 1 priority is still her.

☆ In the time between Isabella realizing Gilda needed glasses and her receiving glasses, Emma insisted on acting as Gilda's eyes. She even temporarily rearranged the dining hall seating arrangements so they could sit next to each other. If they weren't sleeping, taking tests, or doing a myriad of things that required privacy, Emma was by her side guiding her.

↳ Prior to getting glasses, Gilda appreciated how much Emma's homing beacon of an orange mop contrasted against the regular scenery of their daily lives so her eyes were naturally drawn to seek her out.

↳ Emma loves watching Gilda work. The intensity and focus in her eyes, the deft movements of her hands, the stunning final results, it's all so mesmerizing to her. Sometimes though, Gilda accidentally pricks her fingers. Even if it's not bad, they fall into a ritual of Emma wordlessly making her way over to Gilda and gently taking her hand to press her lips to the wound. It's not uncommon for them to hold their gaze for a bit or for Gilda to decide now's a good time for her to take a break.
↳ Emma also acts as a model for Gilda's work. One time they were doing a photoshoot around a water fountain and Emma almost tripped while walking along the edge, but in an impressive show of speed Gilda manages to catch her. Emma's expression morphs from one of shock into a brilliant grin of gratitude as she dubs Gilda her hero. The smile Gilda gives her in return isn't quite as big, but it's no less loving. Being able to be a hero to the girl she's admired since their time at Grace Field who's accomplished so much and overturned fate, even if she can't remember those spectacular feats, makes her heart swell with pride and contentment.
☆ Between the two of them Gilda freezes more easily, so on the off chance she's not prepared for the weather with a sudden drop in temperature, Emma will happily lend her her jacket.
↳ Emma also likes to bundle them both up in a single scarf in autumn and winter while they're walking about running errands or attending events, no matter how impractical.
↳ They also like to snuggle together under a blanket and read books in front of the fireplace. Sometimes they end up discussing what they're reading in detail, sometimes they just make offhand comments, and sometimes they don't say much of anything at all, but they enjoy being in each other's presence regardless.
☆ Going off this ask about Yuugo having tea parties with the kids, I like to imagine Gilda being really into tea in the human world and Emma also adopting a fondness for it by extension, though her favorite is always tea Gilda's made for her
↳ Gilda also spent some time searching for the same set Yuugo and Lucas had in the demon world, and one day while her and Emma are out she manages to spot it at a shop. It's a bit overwhelming for her once they get it back home, but Emma gives her the time and space to articulate what the set means to her, an arm wrapped around her shoulder. How special that moment was of her (their) dad extending that olive branch to her, of opening his heart to them after sealing it away for so long. Emma can't recall the man's face or voice, but when they have over friends and family to celebrate their find (Gilda holds off on making just her and Emma a cup since the first use is meant to be shared between all of them) and that atmosphere of love and warmth is recreated, she feels a sense of comfort and connection to the men who took care of these people in her life who are so very dear to her.
