What brand of pellet would you suggest? We recently got a lilac crowned Amazon and wanted to know so he could be a healthy bird.
Hello! The most highly praised pellets are Harrisons and Roudybush. Harrisons has a loyal following of users, but are much more expensive than other pellet brands and seem to spoil faster. Roudybush, however, is cheaper than Harrisons and has less palatability issues. However, these big brands can generally be too expensive for many buyers, which brings me to Vetafarm and Zupreem. I personally use Vetafarm, which I use as an easily-accessible food that my parrot can access all the time. I supplement this with chop, which I prepare every week, and seeds which I hide in toys he finds difficult to fully, and easily, access. I supplement because many believe pellets are not a fully nutritionally rounded food, and I would rather supplement now than have issues in the future.

omg he just gets cuter everyday AND MORE NAUGHTY. its super cute when he cuddles under my chin but next thing you know he wants to fight!! He flaps his wings and mumbles manically, sticking his legs up in the air and flailing all around!! I also see you found my bird blog haha, its going to be OVERRUN WITH CUTE BIRB !! we will see who will win cutest birb. Gillie, or Diego? (maybe even Andreas but it seems she’s been busy laying eggs haha, she can’t be too happy about that)
