Had a wonderful partly sunny day in the forest shooting some 3D today. Some wondering if it’s tiresome to walk around in the forest with an Olympic style recurve, but the answer is simply; No. It’s the same joy as with any other bow. I lost one arrow today, and one kind of broke in the middle. Stones and arrows are a bad combination. Three happy recurve archery from our club. We went to a fun competition today, a sort of mix of an ordinary 60-arrow indoor competition and match play. We shot absolutely fine, but no medals today. We’re still proud of our achievement. My first competition indoor since the pandemic. And my first indoor competition with my Recurve. I ended up at second place and I’m totally okey with my shooting today despite the cramp conditions. Really great day in the woods today. We had company from a whole bunch of archers from our neighbor club at Tyresö. It was really nice. As usual we found crazy angles and distances on some targets. The bear I shot from 43 meters away through a lot of grass an branches. 1 arrow, 1 shot. Between the eyes. The moose I shot from 63 meters downhill. Training for this weekends National Championship in the “Swedish Hunt” discipline. I’m concentrating on the downwards targets since they’re the hardest with a recurve.
