A Green Jug, Filled with Ginger Root, Lemon, and Honey Tea
I've been looking for a new tea jug for ages, just the right size, and colour. I finally found one that I liked, my choice of colour somewhat inspired by the lovely pastel blogs I see on Tumblr, often Japanese. Although this jug is, I believe, Chinese. I do have various sizes of robust thermos, good for taking on walks and picnics, but this is perfect for sitting at a desk, or in an arm-chair. The recipe is just:
Wash lots of ginger root, do not peel, slice it into pieces, and put in the jug, together with a spoonful of honey (Manuka is good), some slices of lemon, fill with boiling water. Put in the cork, soak for a few minutes, pour into an attractive cup to drink.
Ginger Root Lemon Brew (Potent)
-Medium sized ginger root -3 inch stick of cinnamon -Lemon -5 tbsp Honey
How to: Begin by skinning the ginger and in small squares. The smaller the pieces more potent the brew becomes. While cutting, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add ginger slices and cinnamon stick to the boiling water. Turn heat on medium. Bring to a boil again, then simmer heat on low for 30 minutes. Once finished, pour contents into a separate heat safe container. Squeeze half a lemon and add honey. Stir well. Serve hot or chilled. (Best way of storage would be an recycled mason jar.)
This brew is known to help fight infections, the common cold, sinusitus, fevers, indigestion, cholesterol, migraines, and stress. It also reduces free radicals in the body which are cancer causing agents. Blessed be & Bon Appetit :)
For better healthier results, steer clear of products sprayed with pesticides or anything classified as GMO. Such products contain more toxins and contaminants which completely goes against the entire process of making organic, antioxidant-rich remedies.
