Another day of hiding out at school, getting home in the nick of time, then either going to work or bed before anyone saw him. Mike was pretty tired of it, but if it’s what he had to do to avoid anything bad, he would do it.

Normally they didn’t meet anyone when they stayed late, but today seemed to be different. He spotted pretty brown hair near the spot he usually hid out. He didn’t mind having to be in the same vicinity as someone, but they weren’t sure about the other.

“Oh, I’m usually here. I’ll leave if you’re looking to be alone.”

A visit from Lavender wasn’t ever a good thing. Sometimes he can just suffer through all she’s throwing at him until she leaves, but not this time, it seems. No, this time she brought a weapon. Maybe something pissed her off more than usual today. Who knows.

In any case, Mike had been attacked. He laid on the floor, bleeding profusely and gripping his stomach. If no one had come at his previous cries for help, why would anyone come now, when he could barely even speak?
